The display is bright! Worked as expected using the libraries from Adafruit mention in other reviews. Also must use the SPI_MODE3 setting in the Init. I used the Arduino Nano, VCC to 5V and BKL to 3.3V. (PN: SFTM130JY-7181AN)

It is a straight up HDMI monitor with Micro-USB for power and touch controls. It's one fancy trick is that it is a 5 point (capacitive) touch monitor so it works just like a phone or a laptop screen with taps, drags, pinches and other touch gestures. When in extended mode both switched to their native resolutions and the display was nice and sharp.

Displays came well packaged with foam to protect the header pins against being bent in shipment. Came right up at the default 0x3C I2C address used by MicroPython's SSD1306 driver. Pre-soldered header is a time saver. Enough room for four lines by sixteen characters of tiny text. These are my new favorite displays. (0.91 OLED)

Easy enough to get set up, and good colors. Pure black is perfect, as expected from an OLED. Only issue I have is per-pixel writing - it takes about 1.5 seconds for a full refresh with my setup.

Description

 

SFOS112XZ-128128PAN OLED Display Module is a 128x128 resolution COG graphic display, diagonal size 1.12 inch. The OLED model is designed as industrial grade which is having the advantage of competitive price. The module is built-in with SH1107 IC; it supports 8-bit 68XX/80XX Parallel, 4-wire SPI, I2C interface. The supply voltage for Logic is 2.8V, supply voltage for display is 12V, operating current for VDD is 55μA, SFOS112XZ-128128PAN OEL Display Module can be operating at temperatures from -40℃ to +70℃; its storage temperatures range from -40℃ to +80℃.

Power Supplly for OEL Panell

This is the most positive voltage supply pin of the chip. It must be supplied externally.

3 VDD P

Power Supplly for Logiic

This is a voltage supply pin. It must be connected to external source.

20 GND P

Ground of OEL System

This is a ground pin. It also acts as a reference for the logic pins, the OEL driving voltages, and the analog circuits. It must be connected to external ground.

6 IREF I

Current Reference for Brightness Adjustment

This pin is segment current reference pin. A resistor should be connected between this pin and VSS. Set the current at 12.5μA maximum.

2 VCOMH O

Voltage Output High Level for COM Signal

This pin is the input pin for the voltage output high level for COM signals. A

capacitor should be connected between this pin and VSS.

Power Reset for Controller and Driver

This pin is reset signal input. When the pin is low, initialization of the chip is executed. Keep this pin pull high during normal operation.

Chip Select

This pin is the chip select input. The chip is enabled for MCU communication only

when CS# is pulled low.

Data/Command Controll

This pin is Data/Command control pin. When the pin is pulled high, the input at D7~D0 will be interpreted as display data. When the pin is pulled low, the input at D7~D0 will be transferred to the command register.

When the pin is pulled high and serial interface mode is selected, the data at SI will be interpreted as data. When it is pulled low, the data at SI will be

transferred to the command register. In I2C mode, this pin acts as SA0 for slave address selection.

This is a MPU interface input pad.

When connected to an 8080 MPU, this is active LOW. This pad connects to the 8080 MPU WR

signal. The signals on the data bus are latched at the rising edge of the WR signal. When connected to a 6800 Series MPU: This is the read/write control signal input terminal.

When R/W = “H”: Read. When R/W = “L”: Write.

This is a MPU interface input pad.

When connected to an 8080 series MPU, it is active LOW. This pad is connected to the RD signal

of the 8080 series MPU, and the data bus is in an output status when this signal is “L”.

When connected to a 6800 series MPU, this is active HIGH. This is used as an enable clock input

of the 6800 series MPU.

Also, for normal operations, it is desirable to use this module under the conditions according to Section 3. “Optics & Electrical Characteristics”. If this module is used beyond these conditions, malfunctioning of the module can occur and the reliability of the module may deteriorate.

Note 3: The defined temperature ranges do not include the polarizer. The maximum withstood

temperature of the polarizer should be 80.C.

Note 4: End of lifetime is specified as 50% of initial brightness reached. The reference average operation life time at room temperature is estimated by the accelerated at high temperature conditions.
